What is Helios Makerspace?
Helios Makerspace is a non-profit community workshop that is committed to serve people in the Montreal area. Our mission is to provide the tools to the community necessary to materialize an idea. The equipment ranges from welding, metalworking, woodworking, plastic-working, electronics, programming and many others.
Who is it for?
Helios Makerspace is an environment for all. Whether you are a student, parent, hobbyist, artist or technology enthusiasts, everybody is welcomed to come, learn, build and share. It’s really for everybody.
Solving a problem
Many people live in apartments, thus does not have space to house heavy or loud equipment. Others do not have the funding to purchase more specialized equipment. We want to provide to the local community access to electronics, woodworking, metal-working tools and bigger equipment such as a 3D printer, a CNC machine and a laser cutter.
